Sevrie was born to a poorer family of farmers in the countryside. His family was descended from soldiers in the Orenian Empire, but have since retired to farming and hunting the fields. He was born the only child to a canonist family residing in a small community, where he was raised to work with the animals and toil in the fields. Upon turning 16 he had an argument with his parents that lead to him being kicked out of the home due to his doubts in the canonist faith. He gathered several of his cousins and friends and left for Norland to begin a new life. His friends reverted to thievery and scamming to survive, where they now travel under the guise of being troubadours. He has gained a reputation as a ringleader of the troubadours and has worn a mask to cover his face when in the presence of strangers. After a falling out he resided among other Heartlanders before beginning his journey once more to get back on his feet with a new group of travelers, who have decided to form a group of troubadours to hide their intentions and as such he wears the costume of an actor.
Sevrie was educated in his youth by his grandfather before his passing, his grandfather was educated at the University but fell from grace following his poor performance and regard for others around him. This education is why he began to shift away from Canonism as is father was quietly a heretic who took pleasure in the simpler things of life such as nature instead of any clergy. His cousins weren't treated with the same attention as he was, this naturally made him to be the leader due to his smarts although a bit disliked.
