Veleni was born in Talon's Port to a family of apothecaries - the only child, due to her elven parents' infertility. She spent a good portion of her childhood gathering herbs and mushrooms, and learning how to brew potions. As she got older, she did more to help with the shop, but was growing tired of the town and the routine. She loved hearing adventurers' stories, and wanted to see the world for herself. At age 19, she did a courier run to Urguan, and was in awe over how different everything was. When she returned to Talon's Port, she was thirsty for adventure. For her 25th birthday, her parents decided they would all go on an expedition, exploring an ancient ruin north of the town. Unfortunately, due to ill-preparation, her mother died and her father barely made it out alive, and missing an arm... Despite their attempts to heal him, he died five months afterwards. Veleni grieved over her loss, but her hunger for adventure wasn't satisfied. After another year, she couldn't stand living in Talon's Port, and set out to Urguan for a change of scenery. On the way there, however, she was knocked out and looted by a gang of trolls. Her new story begins at the Cloud Temple she was revived in...
