Born into an average family during a team of relative peace for the region in which he grew up, his immediate childhood was not something that was remarkable. Born in the city of Providence, to a serving lady of a wealthier family, and a struggling merchant. Caiden’s formative years were that of having wealth enough to learn to read and have access to books from a young age, but poor enough to not be offered an easy, protected life. Due to both parents working to provide what may be considered a slightly above average lifestyle, much of his world views and founding principles, are those that can be found in books.
As he grew into adulthood and was required to work to assist with the household, he followed in his fathers’ footsteps, and opted to become a merchant. The role allowing him to take long periods of leave from his home, to explore and move more freely and if he resided in a city permanently. Always doing his best to avoid places of conflict, and often moved away from places it was rumoured to be. The tales he heard along his near nomadic lifestyle, only feeding his childhood fear.
