magnus lived a peaceful life growing up, graduated from an academy of swordsmanship,and magic, top of his class. served his time in the military. retired met a beautiful elvish woman, had two kids a son and daughter. but one fateful day his village was raided by a warband of orcs while he was away at a nearby city shopping for a surprise gift for his daughter for her birthday. upon returning home he noticed smoke rising from the direction of his village. magnus rushed back with great haste to find his village mostly burned and his wife and children slaughtered. on that day magnus cried out to the gods. "why have you forsaken me!!!" and vowed to get his vengeance on the orcs who slayed his kin. about a week later magnus set out on a journey to attain knowledge and power, so that he may use it to smite his enemys and avenge his family. and this is where his journey begins, hes goes from place to place trying to find different combat styles and magics that he can wield.
