Born and Raised on a small farm on the outskirts of the forest to Sariah and Jorna Blackhaven, he grew up in a loving household but grew bored and tired of his life of idleness and longed for adventure. The opportunity to travel for elves in the working class were not plentiful and so Golwyn spent his days working himself to exhaustion to pass away the boredom until his time came. In the midst of a particularly vicious storm one autumn, a traveller stumbled out of the woods begging for shelter and aid. Being a kind household of amiable and selfless individuals, they didn't hesitate to help the traveller. In exchange for food and rest, the traveller told them tale after tale of his heroic adventures and his daring escapes from the clutches of death. Golwyn listened intently to every detail and wished desperately to lead a similar life of roguish heroism. Finally, he could take the boredom no longer and after stating his intentions to leave the farm in search of intrigue and excitement, the traveller offered to take Golwyn as far as the nearest town to teach him the basics of survival and introduce him to his lifestyle. After 18 years of waiting Golwyn was finally on his way into the unknown.
