Pnefure was born into a traveling troupe, a group of merchants who peddled wares and services for the funds to continue their travels. Their parents, Klaud and Galatie, were both performers by trade, their unusual hair and eye colors providing a moderate spectacle. Pnefure inherited their parents' oddities: their father's shifting purple eyes, and their mother's glowing green hair. A far fairer-skinned individual amongst the troupe, Pnefure was seen as even more unique. That uniqueness placed them high on the troupe's list of potential talent; Klaud and Galatie expected their child to become a wonderful performer to succeed them. Unfortunately, Pnefure's interests lied in the culinary arts. And they were bad at it. Every recipe was a disaster, every kitchen utensil melted to slag. Instead of helping their young child learn, the troupe pressured Pnefure into learning to act, to dance, to sing. To the dismay of the elders, and Klaud and Galatie especially, Pnefure was unmotivated in the arts, and was unable to be the prodigy everyone had hoped for. One of the more zealous fanatics of the troupe sought to persuade Pnefure through corporal punishment, an endeavor that cost the latter their eye, and the former his life. Distraught, the troupe made the executive decision to leave the now adult Pnefure behind, hoping the disgrace of the Rhadarius traveling troupe would not follow. Saddened by their own lack of aptitude and grieving the loss of their only family, Pnefure wandered the world to learn of the culinary arts they were scorned for. Lacking martial skill, they scrounged together ill-fitting armor in an attempt to seem imposing enough to not attack. Now, they find themself outside the walls of Karosgrad, hoping beyond hope for a happier life (or perhaps a swift and merciful death).
