Hildingr was born during winter. his name meaning "Worrier" or "Strong". the reasons for this name was that he was strong enough to pick fights with other children older than him in the village and did so.
When he turned about 7 he got his first short sword with an inscription in the handle saying "frost bite" which was then the name of the sword.
He then started training to be a worrier but also to be able to handle himself and live in the wild since it was tradition for the village to set out 10 year olds in the wild for 2 weeks to see if they were worth keeping. if they died, so be it.
when Hildingr turned 10 he was sent out to the coast about 5 kilometers from the village. he was not allowed to have any contact with any other living beings and was supposed to survive for those weeks. the first things he did was locate berries and make some basic tools since he was only allowed to bring his short sword with him. He survived by hunting and fishing, for a cloak to keep him from getting too cold he killed a wolf and skinned it.
His life would continue with fighting and training untill he reached adulthood at 15 (standard adulthood age in norse mythology) where he traveled around to find out the wonders of the world but recently when he came home. he saw that he had been minutes late from being able to fight. his entire village was burnt down to the ground and everyone was killed.
