Lachlan Drever is a raevir highlander that wanted nothing more but a happy life with his family on the farm. His parents were stern, but loved him and his sister in their own special way. But life on the farm was not always rainbows and kittens, it was a rough environment for Lachlan. Money was scarce in the kingdom of Norland, so whenever Lachlan came home with more stuff than he could afford, his parents often turned the other cheek. Most of Lachlan's adolescence consisted of roaming the vast city of Dunharrow, normally finding himself as the cause of some kind of trouble. But whenever Lachlan went too far or lost control of himself, his sister Leith would set him straight. They were the perfect balance to each other, Lachlan was strong-headed and bold, while Leith was more focused and compassionate. His parents were firm believers in the church of canon, but most of his parents lectures went on deaf ears. Lachlan was more focused on what he could to make his family better off, and his sister felt the same. In their early twenties, both siblings dipped their toes into some deviant behavior; petty theft, conning, the works. Everything was looking up for the Drever family, but it all changed on a cold winter's day. The lesson that sticks with Lachlan to this day is that good fortune is only temporary. Criminals were the victims of one of Lachlan and Leith's cons, and they found out where they lived. When it all went down, Lachlan was coming home from the city of Dunharrow, while Leith was still at home. Lachlan came home to a ruined field where no crop was spared in being completely ravaged. He opened the door to the Drever farmhouse to see that his parents were lying on the floorboard gravely injured, but they were still lucid enough to reveal who caused this tragedy. He frantically searched the entire house and farmland, but couldn't find his sister anywhere. Minutes turned into hours, and those same hours turned into days. Regardless of how much time past, Lachlan still couldn't forget what happened or convince himself he didn't deserve this feeling of immense guilt. His parents tried to move past the incident, but to little avail, as Lachlan just seemed to get into more trouble than before. His parents were fairly distant towards him during this time, and eventually told him that they could not condone his thieving ways any longer. The Drever family had no remote idea where the criminals could have taken Leith, yet that didn't stop his parents from leaving Lachlan to search for her somewhere else. The highlander man was now alone, aimless and scared, but he didn't know what else to do but move on. In hopes of finding some form of fortune, Lachlan moved away from his farm to try to salvage a new life in the kingdom of Norland's capital, Varhelm. Now twenty eight, Lachlan has spent most of his twenties in the capital and is still up to his same old tricks, hoping that somehow something new will come from it.
