The tale of Corym Virnorin could not be told without chronicling his parents: Larongar Virnorin the spice trader and Loreleia Liarora "the Crimson Manticore" as she was known. Liarora was a warrior in every atom of her being, she could fight off twenty men before drawing her bow or blade. Virnorin was simply not a warrior, he preferred the comfort of his shop in Haelun'or to the harshness of adventure. Where they meet is when Loreleia bites off far more than she can chew and stumbles into Larongar's shop, the rest is history. Where Loreleia was a legendary warrior she was also a gentle spirit, where Larongar was a simple man he was also everything Loreleia needed in her life. In her lifetime Loreleia gave birth to two little elves before dying doing what she loved. The woman would die during the fall of Ando Alur, leaving her family alone and afraid Larongir shortly thereafter disappeared, leaving Corym's older sister Shanyrria to raise him until they were old enough to part ways. The two often got by through roguery or hard labor, often times working from the lowest of the low to steal from the richest. Where Corym went to live in the forest, Shanyrria went off to join a mercenary company.
