  1. You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: (delete this) "Well, you see." Maethor spoke up before sitting down. "When I was a boy, I grew up with bandits. We used to move a lot. So we never had a house to stay at. I spent most of my childhood playing in the forest." The half elf smiled at the thought of thinking back to his childhood. Where everything was easier. "My father was a wood elf, My mother human. So I was often ridiculed for my heritage; it didn't mind me much though; luckily, I wasn't teased a whole lot." Then Maethor looked down, thinking back about that one afternoon in Haense. "We were in the city, and my father was pickpocketing a few humans. While my mother went out to the market, which is where the guards were called, it happened so fast. And my parents were eventually both arrested. I Have not seen them since." The man sighed. As his mouth opened once again to continue his story. while the old hag continued to listen. "Sometimes I wonder what became of them, But after my parents were arrested, I kind of just fended for myself. I had to, I wanted to survive. So I wasn't on my best behavior, but it kept me alive. And that was all that mattered. I hope to.. Build a better life someday, for people like me. So they don't have to suffer like I did." Maethor stood up, looking down on the old hag. "Thank you for your time; I must go now. I have business to attend to." Maethor stepped out of the tent, ready for the journey he was about to face.
