Being the first-born of the Memoras family and the twin to his brother Calich, Talc always felt a sense of leadership and strived to be an example for his siblings. Whether it be him being strong in the face of an adversity such as a wild boar appearing in their small hamlet and having to protect his brother Scoria, even if it meant he was bruised along the way and had to get patched up by his family. As well as scolding his little siblings for breaking one of the family's lumber tools and not telling his parents, always trying to push his brothers and sisters into the right path. He really took inspiration from his father who was always a strong-willed man who cared for his family and was always their for them. Talc wanted to a lumberjack that would impress both his family and his father, he wanted to be a man that his father would be proud of. He was heavily influenced by "The Red Faith" due to his father pushing the faith onto his children as well as a fairly eccentric priest who lived in the village preaching about our 'Father' and how we must spread his flame to stand against the all dark, due to this, he has a heavy sense of justice and order that influences his actions. His faith would eventually start to waver due to his mother falling ill when he was 17. She would begin to show faint symptoms of a common cold, until she would start coughing blood and would not be able to even stand up. He would begin to pray everyday for his mothers recovery, for it was what his father taught him to do, yet showing no hints of healing, he would begin to question whether the All Father would truly heal his mother, till her eventual passing when he was 22. After his mothers death, he began to fall into a spiral of despair due to his father saying that it was simply "her time to go". He didn't understand what that meant, he also didn't understand why she had to go in the first place. He would start to cope by focusing on his duty's as a lumberjack. He would do nothing but chop down trees, remove stumps, and plant spruce tree saplings for days on end, until he would collapse from over exertion of his body. All of this was to keep his mind off of his mothers passing and how it felt to see her die before his eyes without him being able to do anything or even knowing of what killed her. He would begin to console with his father on what he should do now that his mother passed away. His father would reassure him of his studies as proper lumberjack. He would adhere to the advice given to him, spending most of his 20s doing lumber work and tending to his village. He would even workout trades with neighboring villages to trade their lumber for furs, pelts, and cloths. This would continue until he would come home one day to find his brother, Scoria, arguing with his father over him leaving the village. He took no mind to it until Scoria would begin to send letters home to his family about his ventures and experiences out in the world. Talc would begin to feel a sense of envy and curiosity on what its like outside of his small hamlet tucked between the mountains of Norland. Eventually leaving the village to experience the world for himself and bring back stories of his own ventures from exploring Almaris.
