Born to parents of no real importance in the Holy Orenian Empire. His father was a mercenary and his mother a camp follower. Due to a series of unfortunate events, Knyte found himself orphaned as a young boy in the Dwarven kingdom of Urguan, where he spent most of his youth living amongst them. He never grew too large and because of that, he was an ideal candidate for reaching parts of caves other dwarves would struggle to get into without mining through the rock. He landed himself a job as a prospector and took pride in his 'adventures in the dark'. He became accustomed to the confines of small dark areas, but part of him wanted to know what he could be missing amongst his own kind. So he set off on his own to see the land, and see what sort of name he could make for himself amongst humans, or maybe even some other race.
