When Agaric was five years of age, the forest in which his community resided in burned to a crisp. One of the few survivors, his aunt, brought him to a family of humans in the city. As a child, he was naive, and told many people of his story and aspirations. This resulted in nasty rumors being spread of the foreign Wood Elf who, to those in the city, burned down a forest and planned to do so to their city. He closed himself off as a teenager, reserving himself to crafting blades to make a living. He knows very little of history or culture as a result of this early onset solitude. He also doesn't know how to write, although he can speak and read reasonably well. Now, as an adult, he lives on the streets. He had to pause his smithing career when his family kicked him out once he turned 16, and he's been committing petty theft to make ends meet.
When he was 12, he was caught in the crossfire of a fight outside his house and was struck by a spell, which backfired from it's original intent. Instead of turning their opponent into a goat, the caster gave Agaric goat horns. They grow normally, and he has to deal with upkeep, but he likes the interest and the story. They're quite painful when grabbed onto, so he avoids combat as much as possible.
