Ysggrad was born in Haense. His father was a smither and his mother a trader, but he abandoned them as soon as her second child was born, two years after Ysggrad. But they were both attacked by a couple of wolves when Ysggrad was 10. He survived but his brother didn't. Some time later, he promised himself he would achieve what his mother didn't: becoming one of the best merchants of his time. At the age of 13, he was offered the chance of learning the basics of selling, buying and trading, and he would travel with his master all around the continent. Sadly, they had to separate four years later, when his master was arrested after he swindled an important noble. Since then, Ysggrad has continued his journey alone as a merchant.
