Nephele means cloud, often associated with uncertainty, much like her sense of morality. Nephele was born in the silver citadel with her mother and father, both high elves. Even at birth, she had darker skin than most high elves, which lead to her parents believing she was impure, or the result of an affair. Her father left, claiming that her mother must have had an affair, after all, how could such a dark elf, quite reminiscent of a wood elf, come from a Mali'thill like himself. In grief and confusion, Nephele's mother ignored her, causing her to seek the attention she lacked at home from the people around her. As a child, Nephele was occasionally looked at strangely, but her extroversion and friendliness allowed her to become well known and liked. Later, she began obsessing not only about her personality, but her appearance. She focused on finding the perfect hairstyle and dress instead of learning. She went to secondary schooling for communications, but nearly failed due to her tendency to stay up late partying, rather than study. She is currently in search of a job, or simply a way to earn mina.
