             Earth Evocation

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Earth Evocation is the art of creating earth, stone, sand and gems with voidal magic. The caster of such magic draws the power from the void. The void is a plane that is separated from the descendants by the veil, a barrier between those two, that is filled with mana even though it is filled with nothingness. An aspiring mage will usually start with studying: the general states of mana (active and passive mana, auras, etc.), voidal theories, will power and what one must be aware of when casting.

    The voidal poisoning of one's body starts upon connection whether the mage uses said magic or not, slowly lowering their physical strength and endurance over the years leaving them unable to wear heavy armor or objects. It would hinder their ability to connect and cast.


    A practitioner of Earth Evocation starts by studying the properties of the element they try to conjure, such as it’s density, texture and durability. Also they would observes its behavior in contact with other elements, like wind, fire and water.

     

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    Earth Evocation is a subsection of the Elemental evocations, it can be split into three subcategories:

     

    Earthen Offense:

    Is the art of summoning stone, earth and gems (can be summoned at T4) in for spells that are used for attacks and dealing blunt damage.

     

    Earthen Defense:

    Is the counterpart of Earthen Offense, it can be used for creating defensive barriers for protection or blocking another's path.

     

    Sand Offense:

    Is the art of summoning sand for offensive spells, mainly focused around obscuring another’s vision.

     

    Earth Evocation has close to no non combative spells, besides Conjure earth which is the base for all following spells.

     

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Sand Blast T1

     

    (!) The Elf set her eyes, two pools of dark blue littered with white and purple speckles imitating a cosmic night sky, upon her target. The golden lines upon her throat start to glow in bright burgundy as she connects. Wisps of burgundy mist crawling forth from her throat like tendrils reaching for freedom. A small swirl of sandgrains started to spin within her rights palm.

     

    (!) The swirl in her palm started to form a small ball of shifting sand, which she fired off with a flick of her wrist towards her poor students eyes. Causing them to shut their eyes for the next moments against the irritating sensation of the grains in their eyes.

     

     

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    Rocks T2

     

    (!) Elerína raises her left hand to greet her student to today's lesson, gesturing them to follow her behind the house where two targets had been set up. „So today I will be showing you how to create bigger stones than just tiny pebbles and that is what you will start with today. Connect and form a pebble!“ 

     

    (!) The student nodded to their teacher's words and heeded the command. Gathering their focus a lilac glow glazed over their eyes upon connection, as a small pebble was formed hovering over the students palm.

     

    (!) „Ayla, now you need to imagine how it grows and takes on the shape of a ball. Though be careful to not let it grow bigger than your fist.“ Rina instructed, observing her student closely.

     

    (!) Putting all their focus into the pebble near their palm, the stone slowly grew in size reaching that of a baseball’s. 

     

    (!) „Alright you managed just fine there, now shoot it off towards the left target.“ gestured to towards the target with her left hand. „We will cover how to make spikes in the next lesson, it is similar but requires more focus upon your projectile.“

     

    (!) With a short nod the student focused on the left target extending their hand towards it and shooting off their rock towards it and hitting it barely.

     

    (!) „Well, not bad though you should practice your aim a bit more.“ Elerína chuckled, placing a hand on the student's shoulder. „That‘s it for today, go and rest.“

     

     

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    If a student powergames during a lesson, I would correct them and explain what they did wrong. On mistakes or misunderstanding an explanation would be given to the student as well, on what should be remembered in the future and giving them advice on how to avoid such. 

     

    If however they proceed to powergame despite multiple explanations, talks or warnings, I would get ST involved and take the student of my TA. As I do not support powergaming, metagaming or bad faith rp.

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Translocation or also known as shifting is the art of moving objects or people through the void or storing objects within it. The caster of such magic draws the power from the void. The void is a plane that is separated from the descendants by the veil, a barrier between those two, that is filled with mana even though it is filled with nothingness. An aspiring mage will usually start with studying: the general states of mana (active and passive mana, auras, etc.), voidal theories, will power and what one must be aware of when casting. The voidal poisoning of one's body starts upon connection whether the mage uses said magic or not, slowly lowering their physical strength and endurance over the years leaving them unable to wear heavy armor or objects. It would hinder their ability to connect and cast.

    Translocation can be separated into two subsections Expatriation and Shifting:

    • Expatriation revolves around the art of de- and rematerialization of objects from and into the void. As well can weapons that have been stored by the mage summoned in a flavorful way from the void again. Those can not be living materials. 
       

    • Shifting, focuses in return on moving a person through the void, over short distances or even vast once a mage gains more expertise in usage of their magic. 

     

    As in most of the Voidal magics, the spells can als be sorted into combative and non combative spells:

    • Non Combative spells are spells solely meant for usage outside of combat like greater teleportation, allowing you to teleport in a flavorful way to teleport to soulstones. 
       

    • As for combative spells, those are spells that can be used in combat but are not limited to it, like void pocket or minor teleportation.

    Void pocket T1
     

    [!] Elerínas gaze set upon the ring in her palm, as the golden lines of her throat tattoo started to emit a burgundy glow as she connected. Wisps of burgundy mist crawling forth from her throat like tendrils reaching for freedom.
     

    [!] The Ring would be covered slowly with a mask of burgundy mist of the mages Aura.
     

    [!] Mere moments later the ring vanished in a small explosion of bright burgundy mist, as it was deconstructed and stored away in the void.

    Minor Teleportation T1

     [!] Elerína quickly ushered her student to follow her outside of the city to the fields. “Now then today I will be teaching you how to move through the void, also called shifting, but before we do that I will explain some rules you will need to follow. As it will save you from making a stupid mistake and getting torn into two.” She explained with a chuckle, before her expression turned serious. “First of all do not attempt to shift vertically, it will most likely turn your body into a pile of shit. Second, you can not shift through any barriers or people blocking your path, so don't try to shift through them as you will end up right in front of them.” - “Now connect.” She then instructed, as she did such herself causing her golden tattoo to glow in bright burgundy and misty tendrils sprouted forth from it reaching for more freedom.
     

    [!] The student hesitantly nods as a green glow glazed over their eyes upon the connection.

     

    [!] “Alright, I want you to pick a spot that isn’t further away than eight meters and imagine an anchor of some kind there.” She explained gesturing with her hand upfront as a swirling blobb of burgundy mana formed upon the ground in between the weeds about 6m in front of them.

     

    [!] Watching their teacher closely, they would nod focusing upon a point in front of them. About 6 m in front of them and 1m away from their teacher's anchor, they slowly created their own blobb of green mana, swirling in the greenery. 

     

    [!] “Now imagine appearing where you placed your anchor, take a step if it helps your imagination.” Elerína advised as she suddenly exploded in an explosion of bright burgundy mist, just to reappear at the spot marked by her before. Her face, bearing some discomfort and  her complexion, was slightly paler than usual as she faced her student. 

     

    [!] Taking a moment to channel their focus, the student concentrated on the destination they had chosen. Suddenly exploding a bright cloud of green mist, reappearing next to their teacher. Needing to take a step to catch themselves from falling over as their breath was labored and they needed to orientate themselves.

     

    [!] “Alright, as this takes a toll on you we are done for today. Go and rest now.” The mage said with a smile to their student.

             Fire Evocation

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Fire Evocation is the art of creating fire, heats, flame and smoke with voidal magic. The caster of such magic draws the power from the void. The void is a plane that is separated from the descendants by the veil, a barrier between those two, that is filled with mana even though it is filled with nothingness. An aspiring mage will usually start with studying: the general states of mana (active and passive mana, auras, etc.), voidal theories, will power and what one must be aware of when casting.

    The voidal poisoning of one's body starts upon connection whether the mage uses said magic or not, slowly lowering their physical strength and endurance over the years leaving them unable to wear heavy armor or objects. It would hinder their ability to connect and cast.

    A practitioner of Fire Evocation starts by studying the properties of the element they try to conjure: It’s behaviors in certain environments, how a mundane flame sparks into existence or extinguishes, what it fuels and what takes away its life force. Then they would study the properties of fire that they conjured: 

     

    • Upon impact flames will start to spread, in combat it will spread rather slowly as in non combative situations it can spread quicker. As soon as the fire starts to spread it will no longer be controlled by the mage.
       

    • Fire conjured from void, is easily extinguishable like normal fire by using water or suffocating the source of fire.
       

    • Fire can not pass through anything, especially not sand or water. Though it will start to consume flammable materials on a person, such as clothing skin or hair for example. 

      • If a person's body is exposed to flame longer than four emotes it will cause them to have critical injuries and can turn lethal quickly if they are on vital body parts.
         

    • Fire has no solid impact on a target unless it was modified by adding Combustion to a spell with an additional emote, which will cause an explosion like impact on the area hit.
       

    • Fire conjured forth from the void, can be modified in color (T3 though, black,white and blue are excluded, changing the color will bear no effect upon the flames heat) and shape (At T3 they will be crude, that can become more clean at T5)  in non combative situations as the mage grows more proficient and understanding of their art. 

      • The only flame that will change the heat of the conjured fire is blue flame, which first must be studied before it can be applied to a spell with an additional emote. Giving the flame a blue tint and increased heat, leaving more serious burns.

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

     As Fire Evocation is a subsection of Voidal magic and Evocation it-self it is hard to not hold subsections in the common manner itself. Though spells could be sorted into non combative, combative and spell modifications.
     

    • Non Combative spells are spells solely meant for usage outside of combat like modifying a flame's color. 
       

    • As for combative spells, which Fire Evocation is mostly composed of, are spells that can be used in combat but are not limited to it, like cauterisation, flame projectiles or flamethrower.
       

    • Spell modifications are spells used to modify the effects of another spell in case of fire evocation there are two:

      • Combustion, that causes the flame to be solid on impact as it explodes with a moderate strength.

      • Bluefire, that increases a flames spells heat causing the burns caused by it to be far more devastating than usual

               These two spell modifications are not able to be applied together at once, as it would drain to much mana of the casting mage

    Flame Projectile T2

     

     [!] The Elf set her eyes, two pools of dark blue littered with white and purple speckles imitating a cosmic night sky, upon the training target in the courtyard. The golden lines upon her throat start to glow in bright burgundy as she connects. Wisps of burgundy mist crawling forth from her throat like tendrils reaching for freedom. 

     

     [!] Raising her right hand, embers started to spark as she withdrew it again pulling forth a flame from the void, dancing and growing in size as they formed a fireball that kept hovering in front of her metallic palm. 

     

     [!] With a flick of her metallic wrist the ball of orange flames shot towards the target, leaving small flames to latch onto the hay that started to consume the target spreading across its surface. With a pleased expression the Watcher let her connection fade, observing how the fire turned the target to ash.

    Cauterization T1

     

     [!] Elerína had been awaiting her student, beckoning them to follow her into the yard with a wave of her right hand. “As we have been going over the properties of fire and you have been able to summon a basic flame, it is now time to teach you the first spell of many.” She announced as she walked with them, leading them towards a young woman, gesturing towards her left arm that was bleeding from a cut. “You will be learning how to cauterize a wound with flames that you have conjured.” Rina then lowered herself to the woman, offering a strap of leather to her. “This will hurt dear, bit onto this it will ease the pain and keep your teeth from taking damage.” - “Now connect.” She then instructs her student as the young woman did as she was advised to.

     

    [!] The student connects, their eyes glazing over with green glow as they knelt down next to the injured woman setting their gaze upon the wound.

     

    [!] “Now then, you will need to conjure a flame like practiced before, keep it small enough to handle it well. Then you need to bring it close to the wound.” Rina showed the appropriate distance by letting her hand hover over the wound. “Be careful though if you hold it too close you will bring more harm to the wound than actually helping it.”

    [!] The student then went on conjuring a small flame, drafting it from embers and sparks. 

     

     [!] “Ayla, now hold it close.” Rina instructed placing a hand on the injured woman's back to give her a feeling of comfort. Watched then how her student proceeded.

     

     [!] The student slowly and closely moved the flame closer to the bleeding cut on the injured woman’s arm under the observant eyes of their teacher. - The wound slowly closed, as the woman grunted in pain biting down on the leather strap. As they finished closing, the wound would be left with a blackened Scab around it and they let their connection fade again.

     

    [!] Inspects her students' work with a pleased smile. “You did well!”
