Gianna didn't know who her parents were. All she knew was a sad life abandoned on the streets of the Haense's Capital Cirty at the age of six (she has amnesia of her first 6 years). She had to learn to fend for herself at a very young age, with no parent or guardian to care for her. She did have one guardian though, a nice family on a quaint middle-class street. She thought she had it made.. but then she scratched the eye of one of their other daughters, when she got too close... And she was thrown out, immediately. Hurt and insecure, 16-year-old Gianna returned to the streets, but this time, she resolved that she did not need anyone else in her life to care for her, and she was better off alone. By the age of 22, Gianna was able to learn how to read, how to count, and how to fight with a small dagger she kept strapped to her belt.
