Owen was born on the island of Balmeir. Owen grew up as sort of a "problem child" in his school. Owen was found multiple times fighting other students in his classes over little things. When Owen got out of school, he joined the militia and decided to get his mind together, and started following Canonism. Owen went to his first training and made a friend, Samuel Orzechowski, Owen noticed that Sam was a great fighter and had lots of potential. Owen continued showing up to trainings and made got familiar with everyone in his division. One day, Owen was woken up by the sound of horns signaling that they were being attacked. Owen quickly rushed to the barracks to get a briefing on what was happening. The nation from the north, Bardonichta was invading the island of Balmeir. Owen and his division got geared up and went out to cut off the enemy. Owen's division was outsmarted, and they were cut off by the enemy and encircled. Owen got stabbed in the side by a poisoned blade, and fell to the ground, still able to see everything in front of him. He then saw his friend, Sam fall to the ground after being impaled by an arrow coming from a nearby enemy cavalry unit. That was the last thing Owen saw before he blacked out. He woke up, being dragged to his barracks to get his wound healed. After he was healed, he left the military and feared for his own life. He then realized how terrible the monarchy that ruled over Balmeir was, and hated that he could barely control the aspects of his life, so he moved to Almaris. Almaris was a weird place with all kinds of people, but Owen liked it, It gave him a chance to live his own life and do what he wanted. Owen was a large believer in democracy and wants to move to a democratic nation.
