Kalji was born in Karinah’siol to a well off middle class family. He received the standard education fit for the capital, but also received some private tutoring and lessons to excel above the average citizen. While both of his parents were fine and average, he was heavily influenced by his mother, who even to High Elf standards was especially proud and condescending towards foreign races. This pride and bigotry was ingrained into Kalji's psyche. As he matured, it quickly became apparent to his and his peers that he was gifted both physically in his stature and build, and mentally in his intuition and wits. While initially "pure" in comparison to his modern self, this newfound prowess and skill soon inflated his ego to comically high levels.
This newfound ego initially spurred him on to push his limits to test his peers. While in the upper echelon of his peers, he was not definitively the best in anything; rather being an immensely skilled jack of all trades. Initially displeased with his status as anything but #1, that soon passed as he consoled himself through reasoning that it was just another High Elf who had beat him. Kalji later decided to venture out from his city and the capital of the High Elfs in a quest to challenge and triumph over non-elves; whether it's a coping mechanism or a new development in life is unknown.
While interested in all subjects of education, Kalji is especially interested in history and the origin of High Elfs. He believes that the discovery of the Golden Pools, which essentially lead to the offshoot and creation of the Mali’aheral, is near "divine" proof from fate itself that the Mali’aheral are destined to be the superiors to all races and beings. This interest in history also sparked interest in the Iblees' War. which then blossomed into a deep and intense interest in various martial arts both unarmed and weapon-based. While his primary goal of traveling is to display his competence and superiority, Kalji is not opposed to spending time to learn the intricacies of different martial arts systems; perhaps the only non-bigoted view he may possess...
