Drathin Mildrog was raised by a proper and close-knit family in 'The Onyx Sanctum'. His father (Drofyr) and mother (Sylnu) worked as crafters; metal works and painting. Though not royalty or wealthy, his family benefited from perfect the skill of conversation, able to make friends with anyone regardless of status. They we're closely intertwined in the community, but was never able to achieve their own personal goals. Due to this, they imposed strict routines on their children, enforcing nothing but perfectionism in all walks in life. All siblings excelled in education, though Drathin contained more interest in cultural/religious studies and combat training.
Before Drathin began to reach full maturity, his parents both passed of natural causes. This left him with only the philosophies his parents left behind. He, on his own, decided that it would be best to venture beyond his home city and expand his knowledge of various cultures and hidden wisdom. His siblings, being only sisters, abandoned this family philosophy and stayed within the family crafts.
