Andros grew up in a very unloving home in New Providence before the civil war caused by the death of Phillip III. He lived with his mother Maria de Rosius, and his several siblings due to the fact his mother was married twice and had several kids outside of wedlock. His mother was unrelenting and cruel, often berating him for things he didn't understand as a child and so he and his siblings would often hide from their mother. He became very close friends with his cousins, Chloe and Elara de Rosius. Andros was often criticized for his feminine looks by his mother, who despised the fact that her son looked strikingly similar to herself. After Maria's accident, seeing Andros made her even more upset, considering he looked like she did before her face was burnt. Often times, his sister Audrey and his cousin Chloe were his only solace, despite this he grew up with a negative outlook on women and felt as though if not even his own mother could love him, who could? Instead of being upset over it, he turned his focus into bettering himself and looking as if he was on top of the world.
