Born in Freeport, Miles grew up under his human parents who had come from Norland and was taught what they remembered of the Red Faith. When he was a young boy, he and a friend of his were playing by the rocky shore. His friend slipped, but managed to grasp the edge of the cliffs. Shaken with fear and uncertainty of what do do, Miles just stood there, and watched his friend fall. Since then, he grew to be emotionally distant from others, but grew stronger in his will and sought to strengthen his faith in Norland. Strangely, he never liked to drink, and found himself more favouring tea. Now, he's ready to set off for the far North, hoping to discover more truths along the way, and ultimately, at his destination. Even though Miles is eager to leave, there's a part of him that will always love Freeport.
