From birth, Wilburr was different. He not only was a Forest Dwarf, setting him apart from others of his race, but he was a bookworm, not a laborer. While his parents desired for him to become the next in line for their woodcarving business, he desired to be a scribe in a big library. Not that he knew of any libraries in the new kingdom. He was born in the newly founded Norland to his parents, who eventually disowned him once his younger brother was born. He never even got to know the boy's name, he was told that they would be leaving him in the capitol and not ever returning for him. He began his journey of self-discovery and taught himself to read and write. Then he learned the ways of storytelling; and the rest is history, as he says all the time.
