Gimli was born on a frosty night in the north part of Urguan. His parents both warriors serving in Grand King Levian'Tol Grandaxe's army. They fought in the war against the Orcish War Nation of Krugmar but died fighting valiantly on the battlefield. He was the only child and soon started teaching himself how to use his fathers axe. He would tirelessly work on his skills with his axe while attempting to earn enough with odd jobs to sustain his own life. His only education is that of the sword or, if you ask him, the way of the axe. He grew to become an excellent hunter and decent enough to sell skins of the animals he killed. Always giving thanks for a successful hunt to Yemekar.
