Cornaith's father wasn't around when he was growing up. Many other high elves suspected his mother of having interbred with another species of elf. But she always told Cornaith this was not the case. growing up was rough, often being unable to find friends growing up because of his suposed "impure" origin. This did not fester a hatred of other high elves, as this in Cornaith's eyes would be hypocritical. But even as a child a friend was all that he wanted. The older he became, the more he realized how different he and his mother were being treated, this made him want to persue a better life for the both of them.
He suggested that they both could leave the city and go travel other lands to find a place more accepting of them, but his willingly mother declined to stand her ground. Cornaith did respect his mother's view of the situation, but he did want to know what was out there. So he decided to start travelling at the age of 18, with 1 goal in mind: to prove all the high elves that purity didn't decide the value of an elf.
