Warwick Renner was born to two Norlandic fishers around the outskirts of the Kingdom of Norland. While helping his parents with the day to day tasks of maintaining their fishing nets and equipment, he was loosely given a basic education and lessons in the Red Faith, a religion which his parents had been only light believers of. His childhood was mundane and full of the same repetitive tasks, marked by productive springs and harsh winters, but to the extent of all he knew, life was good. But as misfortune would have it, a bitter winter took his parents away, passing along an illness that would not leave them. This sudden change in Warwick's life left him feeling aimless and full of despair, as he felt just as doomed to the chaos of the world as his parents were. He took mental respite in what lessons were passed on to him, and found comfort in the stories of hardship that figures like Thoromir and Edvard faced in their own times, and the anxiety of what true powers that may be is alleviated by the worship of known men of history. He often feels torn about the subject of death and honor, bouncing between the bleakness of having no honor in any death if you end up a corpse the same from sickness as from a blade, to the feeling of resolve that the only honor of death is what you make of it, being better to die from another man's purpose than a mindless disease.
