At the age of six Her father trying to look for a way out would try to kill them. Her mother would take most of the beating for Her kids to run So, her brother would take Airi's hand and would make a run for it. For four years Airi and her brother would go town to town stealing food and robbing people. Until her brother wanted a better life for his sister, he would sell her off to a family to become their maid. She would work as a maid for five years until, wanting to take charge of her life, she would run away at night to have a new start and make her life something. Wanting a full new start, she would take odd jobs for three years for passage to New Providence. At age nineteen she would buy passage to New Providence for a new start.
