I have always liked the finer things in life. As a child, I always kept my simple clothes in pristine condition. Why, I would even bathe once a week if it were possible! Despite being Norlandic, the warrior culture has never really been appealing to me. While I am by no means a small man, my brothers have always been bigger and stronger than me. Eventually, after losing every practice spar imaginable, even to my youngest brother, the need to compete with them dried up, and I decided to find success on my own terms outside of combat. Besides, the scars are just so unsightly.
My parents, while supportive of my less than standard interests, have never fully understood my desires to explore the outside world. I suppose having 5 other warriors to be proud of blunts the sting of having a son that would sooner pick up a book than an axe. I studied all I could about the world with the limited resources at my disposal, but there is always more to learn. The stories of kings and palaces have always had their own particular allure. If others can build their wealth out, why am I any less deserving? I don't need to be a warrior or a king to earn what I'm owed, I just need to be smart, and I just need to be loved. I'm ready to finally leave this frozen kingdom of warriors behind and really see what's out there, hopefully in places that see the sun most days of the year.
