Ratmius was abended as a child as his face was messed up and he had a hunch, he grew up in the sewers of the capital city of Norland , at the age of 2 Ratmius's love for cheese began as his adopted rat family fed him cheese as it was the only thing that was edible for him, one tragic day his step-rat brother Alex was killed by a mouse trap and that's how Ratmius began to create his mask and cloak, after a horrible accident with a barrell of ale that crushed his family so Ratmius was left alone and finished his cloak which he wears to this day as a reminder of his late family. One day after years of living in the sewer alone he wanted to find the greatest cheese in the world he made a makeshift raft and began to sail down the river which the sewers connected to. On his way he saw a farm so he went there looking for any form of cheese but he only found a child. Ratmius took the child and tried to sell it to a random person for cheese however he soon realised that he could use the child for his own benefit as he named the child Alex after his late brother and told him that he was the last remaining bloodline of a famous royal family that Ratmius told him that his family was betrayed and he needs to reclaim his fake throne to avenge his late family.
