Zena'vasil was born in the Kingdom of Oren, and her parents shortly died from their poor living conditions. Zena was forced to survive as an urchin, growing up in alleys and stealing coppers and crumbs to continue her squalid existence. She formed a strong friendship with some of her fellow street rats, including a human girl named Emma. As Zena grew into adulthood, she found herself getting wrapped up into delinquent and criminal activity, joining a gang with Emma, who became her lover when they were 17. They came to feel content with life, taking what they needed and stealing what they wanted. When the two women were 25, they decided they wanted to be together for the rest of their dirty lives, and got married (with stolen rings, a few friends for the "ceremony", and a hell of an afterparty). When the war between Oren and Acre kicked off, Zena tried to flee with Emma. Unfortunately, only Zena'vasil got away with her life.
