*For the age box, i didn’t see a place that specified the age of elf maturity and is was a bit wishy washy on whether all people reach adulthood at 18, or id species other than elves take longer as they can be up to 100. So 20 for mental age, physical age… whatever corresponds. This is the kind of thing i’ll likely make slight edits to as i get used to the world and those in it. I can write a biography based off what i’ve read from your wikia pages, but i can’t know the world well without experiencing it. If there are any inconsistencies, I’d appreciate any help. Aislinn was born to a single mother in Elvenesse. Their father was either a half elf-human mix, or a full human, as his mom was never an approachable person and even at the times she was, he could never quite get the full story from her. He was a point of mixed feelings for his mother. She was a pure high elf, and viewed sleeping with their father as something she did out of impulse, a fun night. A child from a blunder like that would not be the kind of thing other high elves would look kindly upon, so she relocated somewhere with more of a diverse elf community- mostly wood elves, but it’s not as though there were No high elves there. She had little access to her family and thus Aislinn had no access to any family save for her. She was a complex woman— loving them as her child, but holding resentment against him for what his birth caused and as a result of internalized high elf prejudice at having a son that was not as pure blooded as she is. She could be loving, at times, and while it was rare she’d be physically abusive, the emotional distant and subtle resentment was something a child could still pick up on. They learned independence at a young age, and that reliance on someone like her would never work out well for them even in the simplest scenarios. Anything he said to her would go somewhere else. So he had to learn to get peoples attention other ways, to consolidate his self worth in ways that didn’t require other people. Freedom became more of a need than a want, as he had never grown up with and thus didn’t know how to form close bonds with others. They grew up with little of the prejudice that most high elves carry. That’s not to say none- internalized prejudice is very easy to hold onto. But as he’s unaware of it, it shows in his words and actions, but not consciously and is not something he could unlearn in adolescence. Before he reached adulthood, he left home. Distance was one thing but they felt as though they didn’t need her, and that she was someone who’d never really love him as a mother should. They’re in search of power, of making a mark on things, and of freedom without the control of others over their head. They have a desire to prove to their mother that they aren’t a dark stain on her family tree, but they don’t want to do so in a way that makes them something she’d love. Revenge, but watered down. They refuse to do enough introspection to find what they really want.
