Calius Alexander O’Brian was born to a family of 9 in the city of Sutica. A rich working-class father, and a homestead mother. He was the 7th one born, before Talon O'Brian, and after Serenia O’Brian. He spent his early years being able to woodwork. He has grown old of it but has found a love for working with his hands. Weather it be smithing or building, he has found a love for it. His family was in good, if not amazing health. The first born, Hannah had just finished schooling when Calius was 8. Eventually, as all stories go, a fall was about to occur. His mother, the one who stayed home to watch the other 7 children, had become extremely ill. There was no telling how his father would react to the news. Eventually years later, Calius was able to develop a good education and left school. He had lost 2 brothers and 1 sister within the years of his schooling. Calius believed himself lucky but also unfortunate of what had happened. With his mother not being able to care for her children anymore since she had passed, and his father working to the bone to support the rest of the children, Calius took it upon himself to help the rest of the brothers and sisters he had and made sure that he was able to support them in any need possible. In 1721, his father was encouraged by nearby co-workers to take a ship with other members of the business to Arcas to fight in the War of the Two Emperors. He fought in the Battle of Helena and the Battle of the Rivers. His father was able to come back with antiques and souvenirs for his children, the one he had forgotten though, Darius. Though Darius was younger than most of them, his job working as a laborer finally was able to help him with enough money to help his family if need be. Eventually, his father became ill from working. Calius spoke to him on-end about how Calius would take care of the family if anything were to happen with his father. Days, weeks, and eventually, years went by. 3 to be exact, until his father unfortunately passed away at the age of 71. Before his passing, his father had written a will for his family, Stating that “My work be left to the ones around me, my clothing be given to my youngest two children who will need it, and my money be left to my oldest daughter Hannah Grace O'Brian”. Those words left a bitter taste that not even alcohol could clear from his mouth. Calius eventually left the town of Sutica and left with the money and supplies he had been able to fit in a leather satchel. He searches for a new life of work and to be able to live and rest happily and easily in his future years. Character Name: Calius O'Brian Character Race: Human Character Gender: Male Character Age: 31 Physical Description: Male 5'11 167 lb. Blond Shaggish Hair Hazel Eyes Eyepatch Raw metal iron armour Brown - gold leather vest underneath. Personality Traits/Quirks: Calius has been known to work without recognition. He is not a bright reader of thinker. He overachieves but does not show off. He is grounded, but keeps his agenda and ideals open to anything. Roleplay Scenario: Slowly raveling the pounds of rope from the ground, I looked at my colleague and smiled. “You know what? This, this right here is what work is all about. This rope has tens, hundreds, hell even thousands of little pieces of cotton just to make an inch of it. Each inch of rope acts as a day of your life. It can be a long rope used to harbor and pull in a ship, or it can be a rope small enough to tie a knot around your shoe. But hell, if I’ve learned anything, it’s not the length of the rope that matters, it’s how you use the length you’re given to do your job.” I tied a knot around the pillar on the corner of the home. “Make your days count, because one day you can lose it all. And trust me, Losing all you had is worse than losing a sliver of what you had gathered.” Screenshot of Skin:
