You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
Tobias Greenhill steps forward into the dimly lit tent, taking in the sights and smells of the swampy town. As the old hag greets him and invites him to sit, he approaches cautiously but with a sense of curiosity.
"Expecting me?" he asks, his brow furrowing in confusion. "I'm afraid you have the wrong person, ma'am. I'm just passing through on my travels."
Despite his words, Tobias can't help but feel a sense of unease as he looks into the hag's piercing gaze. He wonders if there is more to her words than meets the eye, and if he should be more cautious in his interactions with her.
"I don't have much of a story to tell," he adds, taking a seat on the cushion as invited. "I'm just a Halfling adventurer, always looking for the next great adventure. What can you tell me about this town?"
