  3. Her hands trailed along the cold stone walls of the city.

    Not a single stone nor tile escaped her fingertips as they dipped down year's old chips, over snaking vines and through cobwebs. 

    It was the dead of night, silence. It unnerved her these days, her only sense she could rely on to protect herself disabled, she was unarmed against whatever could of been hiding around the corners, out the metal gates that froze her hands as she trailed over them.

     

    The wind whipped through her hair as she left the safety of the walls that kept her safe, soft moonlight, gentle as a mother's touch shone down upon her skin unhindered by the towering roofs and walls. Her step faltered as she navigated the rocky surface of the cliff side.
    Finally, the rustling of tree leaves in the midnight breeze. Sticking her arms out to feel the cool, wrinkling trunk she slid down into the plush grass without a care in the world when the voice returned. Whispering cruel, lilting words in the back of her mind.
     
    "Weakling."
     
    "Useless."
     
    "Fool."
     
    An anguished sob tore itself from the confines of her throat, battling with the wind to be heard. Her broken gaze flew towards the sky, Moonlight filtering through the leaves to shine upon her face. She basked in it, embraced it. 
    "Mother Moon, hear me now!" She sobbed
     
    "Grant me my sight back! Please! I beg of you- Don't make me suffer any longer!" 
    She cried.

    As the stars aligned in the sky, the Moon smiled down at her.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

             

    Musin are small, fluffy mouse-like creatures descended from the runts of Ratki litters. They are a peaceful and curious race, spending their time exploring or socializing. Due to their small stature, standing at only 1'8ft to 2'6ft they are incredibly weak, this has lead to their unique and peaceful way of life as they struggle in any form of combat. Luckily they are incredibly agile creatures and have adapted to use their speed and small size to their advantage. Musin typically physically mature at 12, mentally at 15 and live until 70, the oldest Musin having lived to 78.

     

    Musin are incredibly focused on their hygiene, some spending hours cleaning and grooming themselves, as such they are not ill often. They also live better in communities due to their social nature. Musin also sport incredibly sensitive eyesight and hearing, most hearing things any descendant would struggle too, and seeing far better at night than any other.

     

    If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look? 

    Musin can be any color typically found among mice such as; brown, tan, white, grey, cream etc. Their eyes are typically shades of black although can also range between pink and red. Any skin on them such as paws, tails and noses will typically be a fleshy pink. Their stature is also small ranging at 1'8ft to 2'6ft.

     

    This particular Musin is a tan color with a whitish snout, their skin a pale pink. They sport simple clothes that match their fur and blend in with the world around them, they are often stained with flour or other cooking or crafting materials..

             Alchemy

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Alchemy is the study of the mundane and the study of the material world. Using the many herbs and reagents that grow across the land and through learning the many methods of extraction, an alchemist can extract the signs and symbols that make up the world around them and combine them to create new and exciting reactions and concoctions for the benefit or detriment of others.

     

    Alchemy is studied extensively by many, recipes shared and gathered over many years some rarer than others and hidden away for safekeeping. Occasionally there is even the creation of new recipes through the right experimentation and forums. Learning and using the proper methods of extraction and identification over the years is a must in order to create such recipes and potions, each typically taking the user 3 emotes to draw, prime and use.

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    Alchemy is typically split into three sub-sections, Symbols & Signs, Botany, and Potioncraft. Symbols and Signs covering the different types of aspects that make up the herbs and reagents used in alchemy, Botany covering the different types of plants and where to find them, and Potioncraft covering the creation of such crafts with this knowledge. 

     

    There is also the extensive lore of Alchemy including the many other FA's such as Tawkin and the creation of Mutations and Homoculi and Animatti and the creation of robotic creatures.

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    [Flash Powder, T1]

     

    As the alchemist pulled her gloves on, she picked up her reagents from the desk before her, observing them to make sure all was in order. Once certain, she procured a pair of shears, shredding up the correct ingredients before placing them in her mortar and pestle and beginning the time consuming process of grinding them down into a simple, messy mush.

     

    Once the first steps are completed, with a bored hum, she pulls forth a vial of aqua vitae and pours it over the mix, saturating it and heading over to the stove where she boils and filters the mix, completing the extraction process.

     

    A short while later, the extraction complete, she transports the mix over to her desk once more, spreading them out across a board, examining them with a small fragment of glass as she uses a pair of tweezers to procure the required symbols from the mess. Once done she sets about mixing them together, a mess of a symbol of death and of chaos. 

     

    Soon enough, the mix becomes powdery, taking on the consistency of sand. With a satisfied sigh, the alchemist procures yet another vial, tipping it into a small wooden bowl, on top of two light signs. Leaving them to soak, she heads to enjoy a much needed cup of Tea.

    "Come now, We shall talk about the method of extraction for fire symbols today." Hums the alchemist, heading into the lab, her student trailing behind her like a lost puppy.

     

    As her student approached the worktop, She sit's down across from her, placing a small amount of drake's tail on the table. "Now, I want you to take this and dry it out, then you will shred it up. Am I understood?" She asks.

     

    With a furious nod of their head the student set's to work, snatching the tail up from the table and head's over to the stove in the corner of the room. She watches as her student set's to work, nodding approvingly at each step as the mix reaches a sawdust like consistency. "Very good, now we set it alight, until reduced to ash. At which point, you may retrieve the symbols."

     

    The student heads off once more, sticking the regent into the flames of the stove until it catches alight! they soon panic, blowing on the flames in an attempt to put them out, but before they can, they are stopped. "No no! This is correct! do ne put it out, there is no need to doubt yourself." She sighs, shaking her head. 

     

    "Sorry Ma'am..." Sighs their student, fidgeting nervously with their hands. "No need to be sorry. You have done it." She murmurs once more, gesturing to a pile of ash now resting upon the table.

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    First I’d speak to them, making sure they knew where they had gone wrong and familiarising them again with the mechanics of the extraction or potion and what not to do in hopes on ensuring it doesn’t happen again.

     

    If they were to continue I would be a bit more firm and tell them that i could not continue to teach them if they continued to act like this and i would again tell them what not to do. Again if this continued, I would contact Staff as soon as possible.

             Translocation

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Translocation is a 1 slot Voidal magic that allows a mage to transport themselves and objects through the void to different locations in the world around them.

     

    Using a mana anchor The mage is able to use it like a light in the dark, pulling themselves or an item through the void into the space around them. This can be extremely helpful in many situations and is one of the more powerful and complex Voidal magics that one can practice.

     

    Using these abilities the mage is able to do many things, transporting themselves and other through the void over short distances for their own convenience or to escape combat Is one example of a standard use of Translocation. They are also able to deconstruct objects that they hold great knowledge of into a voidal pocket for later reconstruction or usage, this is another common ability used by Translocationists.

     

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    Translocation is split into two types, Expatriation and Shifting.

     

    Expatriation allows a mage with a deep understanding of an item to place a mana anchor on the item and rapidly deconstruct it into the void, being able to reconstruct it later. These items cannot be living in anyway and when deconstructed are left in the voidal mages void pocket until needed again. This section encompasses spells such as Void Pocket, Summon Weapon and Half Expatriation which allows a mage to partly deconstruct an object, by using two anchors to transport it between two locations.

     

    Shifting is very similar but with life rather than objects, again using a mana anchor the mage can use it to pull themselves to this point, effectively teleporting themselves and others. This can be used to move a single person or group over a short distance, or occasionally a longer one at the immense cost of mana. Shifting contains spells like Brisk Step, Minor teleportation and group teleportation which all allow the mage to travel over a short distance with themselves and other.

    [1] Auriel‘s brows knitted together in focus as a familiar indigo aura began to swirl around her, reaching out to a point just upon the other side of the room where it swirled and coagulated.

     

    [2] With a flash of indigo light and a trail speeding across the room, Auriel appeared once again a grin on her face as she reaches for a bottle.

    Connection -> Create Anchor -> Focus on desired object and Telegraph impending teleportation -> Teleport

     

    Auriel looked upon her student with a simple nod, “Connect.” She demands simply.

     

    Student Connects, their eyes illuminating with their aura.

     

    ”Material Teleportation, Simple. Create an anchor across the room.” She orders, pausing “I want you to teleport this bottle.” She hums, placing it down upon the table in front of them.

     

    Student nods, a determined look flashing in their eyes as their mana trails across the room swirling and spinning into a familiar anchor.

     

    Auriel simply nods as her student continues.

     

    Students gaze turns upon the tall bottle, brows furrowing as their aura swirls around it, covering it in a mist of mana.

     

    ”Go on.” She encourages.

     

    Student nods once more and mere seconds later, the bottle appears across the room where the anchor had been. It promptly topples over and smashes.

     

    ”Oh dear- Very good though.” She claps.

             Fire Evocation

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Fire Evocation is a magic in the evocation family of Voidal magics, like the other evocations the main focus of this magic is the creation and usage of fire pulled from the void in order to use it in a variety of ways.

     

    Some of the spells in thus magic can be used for defensive purposes such as smokescreen and flame trail. The main use of Fire evocation is it's combative and destructive properties, Spells such as flame projectile and flaming tempest. Then those spells can be enhanced with Spells such as Blue fire of combustive, adding even further too their destructive properties.

     

    There is also many out of combat uses such as the plain conjuration of fire, this can be changed color and used to perform displays of talent, or to simply heat a kettle!

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    While there are no specific subsections of Fire Evocation it can technically be split into three different types.

     

    Normal Flame- The kind of fire you'll find in most spells when un-enhanced by others, All Fire evocation spells at their core are made up of fire just like a real flame, these can be destructive, burn buildings and materials and cause burns to a descendant.

     

    Smoke- The byproduct of any fire, Smoke also has applications, though less than a regular flame. This can cause coughing and a struggle to breathe. The main application of Smoke is for flavor or aesthetic purposes or to act as a cover for the Mage!

     

    Combustive and Blue Fire- The Final two aspects of Fire evocation enhance the regular flame, Blue fire making the regular fire hotter and far more devastating to one, easily causing third degree burns. Combustion adds force to the Flame, making it destructive to its surroundings with the extra force behind the spell.

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Flame Projectile + Blue Fire

     

    Auriel connect to the void with a flick of her wrists as she faces down her opponent, her eyes light up with her blue aura as she forms that familiar connection to the void.

     

    The smallest of sparks and embers would fly from the fingertips of the mage as she began her casting, a tiny flame soon coming forth which she began to form into a sphere in her palms.

     

    As The sphere grew, Auriel molded and melded it in her hands as the fire roared on, almost asking to be launched at her opponent!

     

    One would almost think her casting was complete if it were not for the hue of the blaze beginning to change, turning a hot blue as the flames roared and flickered viciously before her, at long last she launched it at her opponent!

     

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    "We'll start off with something simple, Simply bringing forth a flame." She hums, glancing towards her student with an ever watchful gaze, "Start by connecting." She commands, watching closely.

     

    The Student would connect, Their eyes lighting up with their aura as they trembled, still getting used to the flow of Power rushing through them.

     

    "Now, Remember all those properties we learnt about? What makes up the flame? I want you to form one in your mind and pull it forth into your Palm, That's all." She explains, nodding at the end for the student to begin.

     

    The student would sit, the world around them falling silent as their brows knitted together in focus, soon enough the tiniest of yellow flames burst forth from the students palm with the largest of gasps, "I did it!" They exclaim as it flickers in their hand before fizzling out.

     

    "Very good. Next time we'll focus on creating projectiles, Practice that in the mean time." She smiles at her student approvingly, giving them a pat on the shoulder as they hurry off to show their friends.

     

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    In the event of this, if it were the first time i'd give them a gentle reminder regarding the spell they powergamed with, prompting with the redlines in hope that they'll realise their mistake. If they did not, I'd show them exactly where they went wrong in their emote and hope they learn from their mistake.

     

    In the event that they continued, i would continue to remind them of the redlines and the proper way to emote their spells without powergaming. If they were to continue and not listen, I would reach out to staff or ST for help.
