You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "You know me?" I stammer, visibly confused at the fact. Yet, while still confused, I take a seat and explain... "I am an adventurer and have just arrived in town. I am pretty good with a bow..." *I set down an old, worn down bow* "But I have lost many arrows and was hoping to purchase some more" I explain. "You see, I come from a family of farmers, simple people. But as I grew up, I learned that I wanted to be something more. I turned for travel and discovery, to explore new places and to meet new life and new civilizations. On my 18th birthday, I set out on my journey, with nothing more than a backpack full of food and a dream. Over my years of adventuring I have learned many things, but 2 things stand above the rest..." *I lean forward and speak in a softer, yet more commanding tone* "The first of which is that peace is almost always an option, but there always comes scenarios where it simply isn't. In those cases, always be the most well armed - be t with weapons, tactic, or friends" "Which leads me to the second of my two main lessons, make as many allies as possible, you never know when you'll need some help." * I lean back and raise my voice back to a normal calm speaking tone* "But yeah, that's my story; now if may ask, what's yours?"
