You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Agos -a flicker of hesitation strikes across his face. Then a smile quickly creeps over it. "You were expecting me?" "How wonderful" -without missing a beat he leads himself towards the gestured cushion "Tell you about my story?" "I would feel rude to bore such a gracious host such as yourself with a mundane story" Old Hag -an eyebrow raised "I'm sure you and I both know that I'm not gracious host" Agos -a feign of shock is sown across his face "What on earth do you mean?" -his grin soon returns "Im afraid there is not much to say" Old Hag -returns a coy smile back towards the man "Oh?" "Agos Iven Aeroise IV has nothing to say?" Agos -raises his hand and waves as if the words were in physically him front of him "Very well, but I won't tell you the whole story." "in fact maybe the story i tell won't even be the true one" --------------------------------------------------------- Agos in his earlier days was purely a scholar, and ached for all things academic. But there came a time in his life were one must start to pursue a greater purpose in life then just reading and learning. And he chose the politics of his village. However, when one burns so bright, there is those around who wish to snub out said burning. The village's politics was something only very few were able to enter and even fewer able to stay in. How was anyone to know that it was a brutal war of words that sometimes crept into the physical world. Agos certainly did not, but he soon learned. A new face quickly gaining support was unheard of, it was... unnatural, out of the norm. But Agos was doing it, and in his naivety he thought little about those against him. It started when one of his closest friend had gone missing, who knew what he was up to? Maybe he had simply gone for an adventure or a holiday outside of the village. He knew in his heart it wasn't the case. But how could he just stop what he was doing? He couldn't... He was going to change this place for the better. One by one, the people closest to Agos had seemly disappeared over night, no trace no sound no nothing. He couldn't let this stop him though, he needed to work harder faster he needed to get onto the council now. He wasn't able to continue his pretend ignorance for much longer. As the day before the vote was to be held for him to be the new member of the council, his very life and emotions almost crushed him. Going home that night, it felt as though it was too quiet. His instincts' told him everything, he ran towards the door screamed while opening it. And there was nothing, no one, no warmth, no happiness. All that remained was a single silver bracelet. It was his final warning, the one before they then take his life. But now what? What was there left to loose? Nothing. What was there to gain? Everything. He vowed his revenge, he would ruin those who opposed him. Something may had snapped or deformed in him that night. As he was no longer the same man on the inside as he once was. Biter, vengeful, aggressive was all that crossed his mind. But he must play the long game if he is to bring down those around him. ----------------- After years of playing the political games, he was nothing but a façade. A warm and inviting person on the outside, but scheming and deceitful on the inside. He had ran the race and it was over. But he needed more, he needed more races to run more games to play. So after slowly and finally ruining his village, he set out for the bigger world, one were he may be able to play on a bigger scale.
