You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Faye's eyes begin to tear up, but she quickly calms herself. "It was only weeks ago now... My pod was killed in the woods not far from here. We were four, now its just me." Faye stares at the wall behind the old hag for a moment. Her voice trembles slightly as she continues, "We were ambushed by a group of marauders, who sought to empty the woods of all Dark elves. They were relentless, slaughtering my companions without mercy. I fought with all my might, but in the end, I was the sole survivor."
Faye's gaze returns to the old hag, her eyes filled with a mixture of grief and determination. "I managed to escape their clutches, finding refuge in the dense forests and treacherous swamps. She takes a deep breath, her voice steadying. "But surviving alone these past weeks has not been enough. I seek answers, seeking the ones responsible for the annihilation of my pod. Rumors led me here, to this town known for its dark dealings and hidden secrets."
