You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Willow observes the old hag's facial expression as she slowly seats herself onto the cushion "I've come from far off, but I'm sure your already aware of that." She says in a off tone, looking up at the top of the old tent, " I'm here seeking answers . . ." She trails off as a crow flies into the tent landing on the hag's shoulder, "But I suppose I can answer your question, perhaps in return for some of mine to be answered." Willow paused at the sudden caw of the crow, " I was born into the world without a father, my mother raised both me and my older sister herself. I never learned what had become of my father, nor do I want to know." Willow spoke softly as she continued her story, "When I was 9 something horrible happened to my sister, She drowned. I was only 9, but I remember it so vividly. It was horrifying and I prefer to leave it in my past where it belongs." Willow let out a shaky breath as she pushed past the tears, "My mother couldn't move on after that. I'll never forgive myself for having been too small and too weak to save the person I cared about most in this world." Willow paused and winced at the pain of the memories, but continued "Far too long I lived in the shadows of her death. I'm starting anew, I'm exploring, and I'm trying to find answers from my past and for my future." Willow let it out with a sigh it put her at rest to let the words of her past escape at last.
