You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Sayasu would respond with a slight grunt as they took up the offer to sit at the cushion, resting into it and propping their sheathed blade against the well beside it, only speaking to reply once properly situated. "Not much of my story is anybody's business, but you seem to know a thing or two already, so I'll humor it. Despite my eastern heritage, I was raised a servant to a wealthy heartlander family residing in Valfleur, my role as servant not getting me much status around the capital much to my own dismay. It wasn't all bad, the pay was good and they were well employed so I had few days off each week which I took advantage of. I'd use the good pay for some basic combat training from a trainer who'd actually give attention to somebody of my social standing, learning my way with a sword and practicing regularly when I was not on servant duty. When I was however, the rules were more than strict and anybody employed could barely be themselves, more tools than humans in an attempt to keep up appearances. The servants dorm had a library that I would frequent if training wasn't an option for that day, reading being a pass-time I still fondly attempt to keep up with. After years of living within those dorms and serving the family, I took it upon myself to resign and begin my wandering way of life. With my sword as a going away present from my trainer, and my pay in hand from the family, I left to my new state of life, where I find myself now." Sayasu would sigh to themselves, looking over at their propped up sword and seemingly losing themselves in thought for a moment.
