You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Rhode tries and fails to meet the old woman's eyes, then speaks softly but clearly as she gazes directly towards the floor. "I come here on recommendation from the good and kindly Madame Chauverel. I only..." She trails off, and in a fit of sudden determination, looks up to face the woman. Speaking just as clearly but now with strength, she says, "I have come here from Aaun, where I was raised, but I have left to create a new life for myself outside the shadows of those who have hurt me." Immediately after speaking, her resolve falters, and she shamefully returns her gaze directly back to her boots. She finishes: "I have come to seek your temporary accommodation, should you be so generous, madame."
