You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Oh... Well, It's a bit of a long story." I pause, taking a glance over to my right trying to get my bearings. "I've just recently turned 18, and I decided to leave my small hometown." I pause again, taking a glance at the old lady in front of me. She seems... Intrigued? "So, after I left, I was on the road for a couple of days and I-" I stutter, and even I'm not sure why but nonetheless I continue. "I met a couple of folks here and there looking for jobs, quests, anything I can do to help." I take a deep breath, composing myself to continue. "There was this one chap, I believe his name was Mark. I'm not entirely sure." I pause, trying to recount the events that are about to be told. "He had an urgent request. It was about his son that's gone missing. His name was Mica, a young boy, he just turned 12." I take a shaky breath, hovering my hand over the scar that now resides on my left eye. "Mark begged me to help find him. I of course agreed and went on a 3-to-4-day search looking for him." I swallow and take a breath "We found him in the latter half of the day. He was being held captive for ransom by a group of strange men. Bandits I assumed." I look around and rest my hand on my sword on my left hip. "Having no training in magic and with only one sword I just went in. They had me outnumbered no doubt 1 to 4 but my body just moved itself." I take a shaky breath and continue. "I'm against taking life unnecessary, so I did like this running knee kick to the first bandit, 3 to go. The second bandit had a small dagger in his hand I sidestepped him, but I misjudged it he was able to slash a small bit of my left eye." I pause pointing to my left eye. "I then elbowed him in the gut making sure to put all my effort into it. He goes down 2 to go. The last 2 were hesitant, heck I'm not even sure why but I charged after the one on the left, unsheathing my sword and slashing him straight across the chest he was not quick enough. I quickly bounce away and the third bandit scrambles up with help from the fourth they both look at each other and take of running." I laughed at the memory. "After my ""Win"" I fell to my knees out of breath unknowing how I pulled that off maybe the adrenaline. I finally composed myself walked over to Mika and started to give him small talk take his mind off of what just happened." I pause and smile. "Mark comes running up to me after hearing the commotion he was overwhelmed with joy and started thanking me profusely, deciding to give the family a much needed reunion I took my leave." I then stop looking at the old lady. "Then I was on the road again, saw your little town and decided to stop for some much-needed rest. Thats my story." I finish smiling at the old lady.
