"I was worshipping..." Belhad sits heavily, tiredly nodding his thanks, "Grimdugan's shrine, 'neath the Southern mount. I'm a miner, have always followed Grimdugan, but lately I've had a sick take me on — best not to touch me, ma'am. Can't know if it's something you can catch, don't know where I got it. Just woke up one day with this vine in me, everyday crawling over me a bit more. I already spent most my time alone, tunneling, serving Grimdugan in my way, do a raid with some others time-to-time, nothing major, but now I'm alone all the time. I've seen none but monsters for months, aside from the grocery boy I'd kept on. Grimdugan's wrath might be on me, seeing as I've had to pay that boy everything just to eat half-decent, and now've got nothing left to me." Belhad's head sunk into his hands, his coarse skin and the mysterious creeping ivy visible through the tears in his clothing, shaking as he began to cry, until suddenly— "Hey- Wait now." Belhad stood, stepping back from the old hag as he wiped his tears with a hand nearly overtaken by the green, "Did you say you've been expecting me?"
