You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) "Ehm, what's this you old crow? Why should I tell you my story if you know me?" Kugduhm is not sure what to expect. He has never had much trust in the other races of the world. He eyes the woman and his fists are starting to sweat. The old woman doesn't look one bit surprised and says: "Well, well... No need to be so hasty little one. Aren't you a little different than your kin?" Kugduhm looks a bit surprised. "Wha..What?!? Well.. Yes," he says, "I come from deep below, but my skin is.. different. Lighter than of my brothers. My mother was dark, my father is dark, and I am... what I am. But I'm as much of a dwarf as anyone in the capital!" "You say, your mother was," the woman accents the last word, "dark?" The hag surely knows something more and doesn't seem worried about Kugduhms temper. "What's my mother to you?!?" He responds angrily. "She died some time ago. As you probably know already, don't you. One day, she decided to go and help my father into the mines. Strange, I suppose. But she always sensed when a silver vein or a gem deposit is in nearby stones. She never returned. And my father never spoke much about what happened. Said only a sudden cave in killed her." Kugduhm is visibly uncomfortable talking about his mothers death. The woman seems pleased in a strange way. Almost as if that's what she wanted to hear. "I'm sorry for asking such questions. I may have overheard.. what is your name?" she says in a quiet, calming sort of way. Kugduhm looks sad but also confused. "Erhm, Kugduhm Bronzemane, I.." He's not sure whether to say more. This woman, this place.. "I'm from Kal'Darakaan. That's where I was born. But I'm not sure I want to live there. And I'm not sure what's this all about.." He can't finish the sentence. A strange feeling is starting to crawl up his feet. Kugduhm is trying to walk out of the weird tent, but he stumbles and... Darkness.
