You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
Anvi settles onto the cushion, his movements fluid and graceful. "I come seeking answers," he replies, his voice steady. "Answers about my past, and perhaps my future."
With a measured tone, he begins to recount his journey—a tale of survival, betrayal, and redemption. He speaks of his origins in the darkened depths of the elven realms, where he honed his skills as a warrior. He recounts the battles he has fought, the allies he has lost, and the secrets he has uncovered.
As he speaks, Ihe senses the hag's keen interest, her eyes never leaving his face. He reveals only what is necessary, careful to guard the deepest corners of his past. Yet, there is an unspoken understanding between them, a recognition of shared knowledge and hidden truths.
When he finishes his tale, the old hag nods slowly, her expression unreadable. "You carry the weight of your past like a cloak of shadows, Deranvi Pusavru," she murmurs, using his full name. "But remember, darkness is not always a burden. It can be a source of strength and resilience. Embrace it, and you will find the power within yourself to shape your own destiny."
With those cryptic words lingering in the air, he rises from the cushion, a sense of purpose burning within him. "Thank you," he says softly, meeting the hag's gaze. "I will not forget your wisdom."
He knows that his journey is far from over, but now, armed with the wisdom of the old hag, he is ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
