You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: (delete this)
"Oh, I uh, just looking for a job is all. Perhaps in a tavern. I'm good with drinks and I'd call myself quite charismatic with customers." They huff out a little laugh. There's a hint of nervousness. "I won't lie, I'm a bit nervous since I'm young and all, and between me and you, sometimes I feel like I don't belong. Never knew who my parents were you see, yet apparently everyone who raised me could tell I had High Elf blood in me. Maybe it was the skin. Though I think I now have a bit of a tan, from helping around in my village and all. The people I call family were all Wood Elves, and i'm forever grateful for them, for teaching me all about life, so now I'm here to put their teachings to use to start my own story with independence. And if I could help out a person with their sorrows by brewing or cooking something up, well that's just a bonus now, ain't it?"
