You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
El'fi'ento glances around the tent with a tired expression on his face. He then turned to the old lady and opened her mouth to speak, though at first no words came out - after great effort he managed to mutter "I arrived via a ferry.. I'm looking for.. a new beginning." He takes another look at his surroundings, his eyes now drawing to a seemingly random backpack on the floor - the object seemed somehow familiar to him.
Suddenly he seemed staggered for a moment, as seeing the backpack had triggered lost memories, which now began to flood his mind, and only after briefly closing his eyes and calming down was he able to continue, his voice now much stronger "Life in my hometown was impoversihed, anybody didn’t even know if we would survive, so I left without a trace, which led me to begin a journey - I was searching for a new city to reside in, but on my way overseas our ship encountered a storm, which in turn, I believe, has led me here." After finishing, he closed his eyes again, his face was now filled with regret which arose from the memory of his home.
