You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?))
"What is there to tell? I be Varric Swiftfoot, but a humble and clanless Forest Dwarf, but I 'spose I'll entertain the host" Varric says as sighs and takes a seat on the cushion. Varric sits back and takes another long breath before continuing, "I 'spose what brings me here is Belka's Grace and the smell of Adventure, these swamps hold many hidden secrets and treasures lost to time, and my goal is to uncover them and bring the lost histories to light. so many of our clans histories were lost during the blood wars, and very little remains of those lost clans. But I, Varric Swiftfoot wish to at least discover something that was once lost." With a gleam in Varric's eye, he looks toward the old Hag, a toothy grin appearing on his face, "So what can You help me with?"
Backstory
Varric Swiftfoot, a tall and relatively lanky Forest Dwarf, whose thirst for adventure is only put aside for matters concerning his brethren and fellow Compatriots in trouble, spends all his time travelling the world searching for ancient sites and ruins all over the land, trading his hides and furs from travelling for coin when need be only being tied down to one spot if his brethren need his help. He has quite a short fuse when it comes to other races talking down on dwarves or belittling their past but is otherwise fairly easy to get along with and depend on if he stays in one spot long enough to be of service. Hailing from the outer regions of Hefrumm, he will drop any adventure or quest he is on to return to his homeland and protect his peoples livelihood.
