  1. Norak smiles at the new poster for the Clan looking forward to their new future. He would go and see Thoak later and speak with him, he thought as he scribed his name on the poster.

    Meanwhile....

The ancient dwarf stirs upon the hard stone floor. His gray beard remains unkept and lies in a messy tangle upon the floor. The once regal and tidy expensive robes are now tattered and splotched with grime and the thin robes are not enough to protect his frail body from the cold earthly floor deep underneath the unknown surface of his location. He rises shakily into a sitting position as he mumbles to himself. Something was not right. A horrific dream had awoken him. The end of Aegis revisited him. The people, fleeing, families sobbing as they leave their homes and Kingdoms as they pack into the Cloud Temple. His stomach had fallen and clutched with guilt as he saw his clan and his son gather their supplies and their food as they trekked to the safety of the Cloud Temple. Although something was out of place. The temple he had seen before awakening was not that of Aegis, but that of Asulon. The despair, the masses of the races, it all seemed to real to have been a figment of his slightly crazed imagination in his current state. Frantically the dwarf's tired eyes snapped open and he struggled up off of the floor. His son and his clan needed him.. he could feel it.

  2. [[ The current clan members by time in the clan who've replied to this topic are: Gulroid, Rasun, Thoak, Gorum, Arkenos, and then those who joined us in Alras like Kayne, Hydrose, William, Luke, and Durrim. ]]

Norak nods in agreement to Thoak's suggestion to seek out Gulroid. "Aye ah would get 'im tu' write down 'is suggestion fer' clan leader an' yeh can return wit' teh news."

  3. Heeding the call of his clan member Thoak Goldhand, the son of Rasun Goldhand emerged from his dwelling. Norak sighed as he clutched the last parchment Rasun had written to his son before his sudden departure to an unknown location to meditate and feel closer to his ancestors. Stuffing the parchment into his pack, Norak made his journey toward the Goldhand meeting. Still exhausted from his last search in the wilderness for his father's meditation mountain, he'd decided that he'd trust his father's decision to leave and would have to wait for his eventual return. Upon entering the meeting room he greeted his family members for the first time in years. The last he'd seen of his family was during his father's time reconstructing Kal'Alras.

"Greetin's me famileh. Been awhile, eh?"

Norak frowns as he begins to retell the story of his father's disappearance, but he attempts to reassure everyone that his father will hopefully find a way to return when he will be needed again.

"But, hmm, ah agree, Gulroid 'as been rat'er lackin' in leadin' our clan fer' some toime. I've spoken tu' 'im recentleh, aftah ah discovered me fat'er's fate. Age beh catchin' awp tu' 'im, 'e beh teh oldest in teh clan, still livin' from teh age ov' Simppa. Onleh Rasun beh older t'en Gulroid, it be a surprise 'e can t'ink ov' goin' out awn a trek like t'at."

Norak pauses as he is overwhelmed with fear of his father's life in danger.

"Ah can onleh 'ope t'at he knew what 'e was gettin' 'imself intuh'. Now, I believe teh new leader should beh chosen by Gulroid 'imself. 'E 'as been teh onleh clan leader fer' centuries, an' if a feller' gets picked whu' does nay know old Gol'and traditions, I feel bits ov' our clan's tradition an' 'istoreh may be lost. Rasun told meh some ov' 'em but I dunnae remember much. Gulroid's choice will probableh be best fer' teh clan, unless 'e be readeh tu' make a return."

Norak takes a seat and looks around the room, glad to see familiar faces again, and looks forward to spending more time with them, now that he'd chosen to have belief in his father's choice of leaving. After some reassurance of his father's return by Gulroid, Norak could finally relax. For now at least, for he could have never imagined what news about his father was soon to come.

  4. Stands at the back of the crowd, a grin visible on his face. He nods and begins go think back from the time all the way during the kingship of Simppa. It's been a long journey, Hiebe. Looks like what yeh deserved all along finalleh beh yers. He strokes his beard with content and walks off to find himself some ale to celebrate the long awaited King.

  5. Sitting quietly in his seat, the ancient dwarf listened intently on the conversation and argument occurring in the room about him. He sat, eyes closed, and took in every detail the voices of his clan mates portrayed. Slowly he shook his head in distaste as they continued to bicker back and forth, creating a tense atmosphere amongst them all. Having has enough, he slowly rose from his seat, and bellowed loudly. It was his turn to speak. "Me bru'vers, me sons, me cousins..." he began slowly, "What. 'as gotten inter yeh all? I beh ashamed in yeh.. We beh famileh! An' 'ere yeh all bean Bickerin' loike beardlin's!" The ancient dwarf sighed and took a deep breath. "Luuk, feller's. Weh all know 'ow much Alras realleh beh wort'. 'owever I dunnae fink we will ever beh findin' a buyer fer' such a proice. Aye Gulroid did make an odd decision sellin' Alras suh suddenleh, but yeh be knowin' da' reason? Da' gud o' tae clan, lads! Gulroid an' ah 'ave watched da' Gol'ands slowly spread further an' further apart. Alras beh abandoned! Nay's ever be derr anehmer' an' muvin' yuh Karik shall unite us wiv our Kin. Is dat nay what we want? Unified clan? Tuh show dat we beh 'un? Oi! C'mon feller's. Dis beh a chance fer a change. A change not only fer de better ov da clan, but fer' da better ov Karik!" Having completed speaking, the dwarf nodded and with a grunt sat back into his seat, where his hands found his beard and he looked about the room, awaiting a response.

  6. Welcome Borin back ter th' clan after 'is disappearance into th' wilderness. We also welcome our newest member to th' clan, Arkenos. 'e spent much time researchin' 'is past an' 'is family an' came to th' conclusion dat 'e beh a Goldhand! Welcome back Borin, and welcome Arkenos!

Also, Thoak, yer idea shall beh run f'ru Gulroid.

  7. * A new map appears upon the Goldhand Message board at their fortress with a vast description underneath and a sign that reads: "'ere ye go lads, me new map ov de biomes nearby! Enjoy! An' now we 'ave names fer de lands in our territory. My next map shall be sent to the King as it will be showing de lands we wish ter annex." *

    Regions Named -

    • Mountains of Azstenur - Tall, grand mountains where the Fortress is located. The River of Azsten's source lies high in it's peaks.
    • Azsten River - Flowing from the mountains into a small pond, and splits to Algoda Bay in the north, and flows south in between Werlyr and the Golden Plains to deposit into a small pond close to the Tungdil Sea. This water feeds Goldhand crops at the Goldhand ranch.
    • Algoda Bay - Named after Algoda Goldhand, this is one deep body of water.
    • Werlyr Woods - Split by the Werlyr Inlet into two parts, East and West Werlyr, this is a large fores just south of Azstenur and borders the Reizak Plains and Tungdil Sea.
    • Werlyr Inlet - A shallow inlet that divides Werlyr into two notable parts
    • Tungdil Sea - A large body of water named after the Goldhand founder that lies South of the Goldhand Territory.
    • Reizak Plains - A huge flat plain that used to be corrupt with witchcraft, but the Goldhands destroyed the source, renewing the land. A huge farm shall soon be constructed here. A peninsula lays at the end of these plains where another lighthouse shall be built, much like the one on Serpent's Island.
    • Bay of the Serpent - Legend says that a mighty sea serpent lives deep beneath the waves in this part of the sea, but the only sighting was a moving black object under water near Serpent's Island
    • Serpent's Island The Goldhand Lighthouse sits on this island, directing ships to the Goldhand Docks. Legend has it that the mysterious sea serpent lives in a cave underneath the island. Explorers are finding a way to dive deep beneath the sea without drowning.
    • Norjyr Mountains - Extremely tall and bitter mountains in the northernmost region of Goldhand Territory. Snow tops the tallest peaks in the far north and a Taiga lays behind these grand mountains.
    • Golden Plains - A vast plain, with whispy grass the color of gold on the brightest of days. Many animals graze and breed here. Recent sightings have shown a corruption in the land and the Farm of the Damned has been built, scaring off many of the animals and the grass has recently died. This once great prairie is now a desolate wasteland. The Goldhands look to capture and free the animals from this farm and restore the land to its former beauty.
    • Forests of Stingard - The largest forest in Goldhand territory and hold the villages of Fornost and Stingard. This area is under heavy Goldhand protection and is the border between Goldhand and Grandaxe territory, but the two clans have very close relations. The Grandaxe Hold of Kal'Anart is not far from these forests.

"I thank ye fer supportin' me cause."

    * Pauses, and pulls out some copies of a map that he has been working on for quite some time *

"'ere, dis map shows sum ov de surroundin' lands near our fortress. I spent much time explorin' an' mappin'. Alsuh, ye can see our new enemy on dis map. We shall call 'et: Farm ov tha' Damned."

    * Posts the largest map on the message board and hands a few smaller out to other clansmen *

"Aye, farewell lads. I am off ter map sum more, dis time we can show de kingdom which lands we wish ter annex. Looks like we'll need a meetin' wi' de king soon!"

Lads ov de Goldhands! On our Golden Plains, across de river of Azstenur, I 'ave spotted a large new plot ov farmland very close ter de Goldhand Ranch. Der be a few problems wi' 'et too dat I fell ye shuld be infermed on.

Numbah Un' - Dwarves live der no' 'elpin' in de capitol!

Numbah Tu' - De dwarves used ter 'ave strange pillars made ov fragile material such as sand n' dirt dat never fell!

Numbah T'ree - Dey 'ave a large undergroun' room, it's roof de ground! Der be a buildin' sittin' on what shuld be collapsin' land, yet it stays! Dis surely be witchcraft!

Numbah Four - Dey 'ave der animals in such cruel shape... der pigs, squished inter a tiny cage as well as der chickens. As a farmer, I shall not stand fer dis.

Numbah Five - Un' day I visited der farms ter see de piggies infected wi' a strange coirruption an' were walkin' aroun' wi' swords. Not ter be trusted at all!

We mus' act! We cannae let possible doers ov evil magic roam de fields so close ter our fortress. I say we re-take de land an' restore it ov de witchcraft! We mus' conduct a raid an' destroy dis place, 'unce and fer all. Sign below if ye agree wi' me statements. I wish us gud luck in our possible conquest.
