  1. I think that this would be a risky move, as these 4 nations have been on all of the maps in one way or another as base nations.

This is what is perceived to keep all four races kind of bunched up in their own lands, and what I assume is an attempt to keep a somewhat healthy population in each race/nation's rp. If say, the human population was split into 3 nations then there may be a large split in rp for the humans, which would either cause everyone to move to one nation anyways, or get bored and go with a more centralized race.

I think getting rid of the idea of a base nation capital for each race would be interesting, but it has the opportunity to lead to terrible results.

  2. *A Strange Note Appears at the Footstep of the Geminine Manor*

*It has the letter A imprinted upon it*

    ~To whom it concerns~

My name is Alianor Geminine. You may or may not know me as the last person to lead
the Geminine house before my strange disappearance. I would first like to state
that this is not an attempt to regain my title, nor an attempt to rejoin the
workings of politics or to really leave the state I am in. As of now I rest
with my daughter and my wife in a cabin out in the wilderness. I apologize I
had left so suddenly, but the stress of politics and putting my life on the
line was too often and too much.

I only wish to write you this, almost as a final goodbye. I do not plan to show
up once more, in the busy life of the city, as this was never my plan for life.
I had only ever wanted to fish my life away, and bed random women in my fishing
shack, but as the Geminine house began to deteriorate, life had other plans.

I was dragged into the role of leadership for the Geminines, made the count of
Simonia, and given the task of trying to put together the Geminine house once
more. After a long bit of life, with my son and myself, I had finally done a
bit to reunite the Geminine house, but after a few years, it had deteriorated
once more. In that time I had become a Grand Justice (Although there really was
no workload with that occupation), and this is when my life, and the life of my
    family had become threatened.

I did not plan to leave, but the death threat that I had received had made me decide that enough

was enough. As a final thought before I go, I wish you all luck. Remember the
errors of the past, remember that maintaining a house will be tough, but if
done well, I know you will do the Geminines proud. Now I must be off, as I said
I would return to the cabin soon.

Please do not try and find me, as I enjoy my life now. I am now living the life I had always wanted to live. I will wish you all a farewell, and best wishes in your future endeavors, from one Geminine, to
    another.

    ~Ser Grand Justice Alianor Geminine~

((As all characters do, this one must come to an end. This being my first human
character I was unsure of how it would turn out, but I was not disappointed.
Since I had had bouts of inactivity, I figured this character has missed too
much to be relevant anymore (Plus I am not sure if I am to become active now, I
don’t hate the server or anything. I just burnt myself out, it’s a great
server, I just can’t do too much of one thing for a long time.. I get bored.).
Anyways, thanks to everyone who made this character memorable, I would make a
list of all who did… but I don’t really want to.))

Not much is known about the early times of the Geminine family. Our history is started at the two brothers known as Simon Geminine and Aliestor Geminine. Simon Geminine had one day decided to wed Muriel Geminine, and in order to carry his bloodline, he had a few children, three brothers to be exact. Simon was not a very good man.. many would say he was a bit worthless.. but nonetheless he continued the tree.

Geminine house rose as a very small house in Ildon, much of the family hearing they had a bit of a standing there, doing odd bannerman jobs and growing as a house under liege of house Elendil, a lot of the family began showing up there. As a child, Alianor Geminine was ran out of his home in Salvus, his father dying in battle, and his mother missing(Presumed dead). Alianor found himself in Ildon, where Merek was taking position of Baron of Ildon.

After many years, Merek decided to step down from his position of baron, and allowed Aliestor to take his place. After much time, house Geminine wanted to be freed from their liege under house Elendil, to settle land of their own. After much consideration, Artorus allowed them to do so, and they settled in the land of Simonia, which is in the southernmost part of Westfall. Aliestor had always been rather friendly with a lot of women, and many of his children are thought to be among us.

After 5 years of running the newly settled land of Simonia, Aliestor passed suddenly, and with nobody stepping into position of charge, Ser Alianor Geminine took it upon himself to take charge of Simonia, and start the noble lineage from himself, where he one day plans to give power to his son, Taron Geminine.

Upon moving to the The Isle of Elysium Alianor has taken position as the Grand Justice of Oren, and the known part of the family rests in the manor in Oren.

  4. Although I see your motives behind taking away some of the Iron VIP perks, but I am slightly irritated. I have taken some time to cool down, and I hope that I can speak my opinion without starting a flame war, but if it happens, I apologize.

Firstly, I feel as if we had had this for a very long time, too long to lose it. I remember back in Aegis, on a Wolverine base outside of Kal'Urgan, we had all decided we would buy Iron VIP as it would greatly help us in bringing in new recruits. Nonetheless, had it not been for LWC, as much as I love this server, I would not have donated.

Secondly, I understand the argument to complaining about loss of perks is that these are donations, and we should receive the perks as gifts, but take away the gifts and I believe the amount of people donating would be much less. I went to Wikipedia and looked up the definition of Gift. Gift - A gift or a present is an object given without the expectation of payment. So I believe that renders that argument invalid.

Thirdly, now that we see that the perks are not gifts, but instead something given for payment, how do we know if our payments will last another year? What if it is decided that only $100 donors should receive certain aspects of LWC or that they should only get NPC's.

The point being made? I think that people who donated with certain perks in mind, should at least be grandfathered in and retain the perks that they had bought in the past, namely LWC perks, and people donating now should receive the new perks.

Apologies if anything comes of as a flame, as this was not at all intended. This is just what I think about the new Donation perks.

  5. As an Iron VIP there are a few commands to do with LWC that I have lost access to, as have a few other people I have heard.

Commands that are still able to be used.

    /cprivate

    /cinfo

    /lwc owners

Commands I have tried and their responses.

    /cmodify - Access denied

    /cremove - Access denied

    /cpassword - Access denied

I am unsure of if this problem is being addressed or not, I just wanted to make sure it was known. :)

I just checked the newsletter, although as an iron VIP I will still need /cremove.

  6. Although I do not have a direct answer for you, you will find that it is a very general thing among orcs. I think more or less it means that they are a very aggressive race, and will not think twice to "klomp" you. As far as certain orcs, they are more aggressive than others, but I believe that aggressiveness can be fixed. The only problem with the aggressiveness being fixed is other orcs will outcast them and call them whitewashed.

I hope this helps, as I have not actually played an orc but have seen many role-played.

  7. The only problem I am seeing with making infinite soul-stones for everybody is that there is a big loss in motive for people to donate. Although it is a nice thought for all people to donate only out of the kindness of their heart, and because they want to see this server prosper (Although some do, to whom we owe great thanks) many take big consideration into what they are also getting out of the deal in game. I understand we do not want to put this game on the route to free2play games, but I feel like the soul-stone system was a happy medium in not giving players advantages, yet rewarding those who donate.

A few weeks ago we were having budget issues on keeping the server running, I do not know if this is still the case, but I feel it unwise to throw out the bits of motivation we have leading people to donate. Just my two cents, please don't flame me if you disagree.

  8. Regardless of what you do, wars are always going to be very hectic and the losing side will always call faults.

The point in my mind is what makes more rp sense,

I don't feel there is much rp sense in war claims in the fact that if you are taking a group of people to attack someone for say.. an insult on your family. Are you going to be angry about it two years later when your war-claim is allowed to go through and such, it doesn't make rp sense to me that you would wait such a long time for a whip lash like such.

BUT, if we want to go on claiming other people's lands, then I feel there should be a bit of a waiting time, as rply you would need to ready the men and supplies, and oocly you would need to work a time where everyone can be on for such an important event, although if we were to have a siege and make it last a rather long time rply, say a week or so rply, that would make for much rp fun.

Finally, as I said, you will never have a war where both sides are completely happy with the outcome, the only thing you can do is make it as rp sensible as possible and try to balance a bit of fairness with it.

    House Family Members Important:

Simon Geminine: The believed main link between much of the family, and the eldest known to myself. He was never really a leader, but more a drunken fool who passed away in Ildon.

Merek Geminine: A man who helped set up the Geminines as a house and first led as the Baron to Ildon under house Elindel. He later decided that he was not fit to lead a house and removed himself from the position.

Aliestor Geminine: The second man to take charge of house Geminine and lead them from year 47 to year 57, where he suddenly passed due to old age. He led them to Simonia where he took charge as count for 5 years.

Alianor Geminine: The man who is now in charge of house Geminine, as a count. He squired Artorus Elendil from the time he was 12 to 18, when he was then knighted and took part as Gentry of Geminine house. Upon Aliestor’s passing many years later he took it upon himself to take charge of Geminine house.

(I apologize for the crammed sentences but I can not for the life of me get the paragraphs to space.))

  10. I absolutely love the idea of returning war to Aegis times, and the rules seem to be more fresh and better role played than before. My favorite part has to be the idea of sieges actually lasting rp days, I feel like it would make great rp, but there should be a rule about soul-stoning out of a siege or something along those lines, because if people could just soul-stone in and out of sieges it would just take all of the rp out of it.

  11. *Reads over the request and decides to write back, unsure of if the deal was made.*

"I do infact have the ability to answer your requests, but I may run in to trouble with the materials needed, assuming they will be provided, I will allow you to pay me in diamonds, or minas, and give you the option of how much you wish to pay me. We can meet anywhere from Arethor to the Cloud Temple, just write me when you are able."

*Alianor Geminine calls his guards out into the yard*

*He watches as they line up sloppily in a crooked line*

*He cringes, but then sighs a bit as he begins to speak*

“You have all signed up to be a part of the Geminine bannermen, but what you may not know, is this is more than a group of guards protecting the town. This is more than your paycheck, or your job. This is the welfare of every single citizen that lives inside this town.”

“Be informed that this will not be easy. We will train, sweat, bleed, then train some more. If you are not ready for a challenge of this size, I suggest you pack you step out of line, go to the guards tower, get your things, and leave.”

*Stands with his hands behind his back awaiting people to leave*

“Now that we have that over with, shall we begin training? First off, get the nether in line...”

*Posters are posted all around Arethor on random trees*

"Do you want to be more than you are now? Are you looking for a calling, a new lifestyle? Join the bannermen of Simonia Today!"

  13. In my opinion it would more or less be the standpoint of your character. If you feel that your character would have a wide enough vocabulary to understand that word, then it would be up to you to decide if your character would understand it. I will be honest, I have no idea what the word nance means, and nor would my character as he is quite the drunken fisherman.

tl;dr : If your character would know, yes, if he wouldn't, no.

EDIT: You may want to title this with an [OOC] in front of it, or put brackets around the title as it is an ooc question in an rp forum.

  14. MC name: Groobs03

Strengths: Nice Internet Connection / No Lag, PVP, Boat Racing, Machinacraft,

Weaknesses(if any): Not an amazing Parkour type person, nor would I be good with pixel art.

Have you read the rules listed in the Olympiad Rules? And do you agree to abide by them? That I have and that I do.

Other notes: Figured I would throw this out there, who knows, maybe I will be drawn from the hat.

  15. Quadruple post. And I "Don't have permission to report" this post.

((It can't have been purposeful, ease up a bit))

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

*Rubs his eye looking over the poster*

"We may be able to use him when we have Simonia established, but that is disregarding the fact that he does not wish to move.

    *Shrugs*

"Ah well" *He says as he turns to the bit of rabble beginning at the temple.*

  16. *Puts his hand on one pocket, then his hand on the other. Curses under his breath and calls "Katie! Could you get me a feather?". *Soon after Katie calls down* "I couldn't find one!" *Alianor Geminine Sighs as he begins to armor up* "I'm headed to Arethor" *He calls as he walks out.*

*As he comes upon Arethor he see's a beggar on the side of the road, he tosses some minas to the beggar then heads into town to find a feather. After hours of searching he must resort to calling out in Arethor asking for a feather to write with. Finally someone throws a feather at him. Happy with his work, he heads home.*

*Upon returning home, he stands at the charter then looks at the paper, and beside it lies some ink with a feather soaking in the ink. He frowns a bit, but then uses his feather to sign the charter WnTAf.png. Pleased with his work, he turns and leaves, forgetting his feather on the table. *
