  1. ((Due to popular demand, the final day of Cataris conDoin))

((Beautifully written. I will truly miss Cataris, it was a pleasure being his target and enemy... as this was a truly dramatic and intense event.))

Alethion Jots down some writings in his old journal, hidden within Menel Nen Arda...

"It all started with a simple curse... Cataris' Curse. It was nothing immense... but curse messed with my body in such a way, I was weak. My eyes were filled with lust and the after effects of the curse were strong. Thanks to such traits, I have betrayed Rhisereld, and given my love to another. She has rightfully left me... perhaps for good. Though I pray it never be so. I will do what I take to get her back... I fix this family. I will not let Rhisereld down, not after everything we've been through...! And though Cataris has fallen, his chaos lingers on..."

  2. Alethion Celebtaurë

Cataris likes to play games. His first game was sick. He deceived me... He tried to ruin the Whispering Isles' Militia by using their very General. I had nearly killed my own wife by seeing her as an undead. My whole world was turned upside down. Undead became Ascended, Ascended became Undead. Orcs became Halflings and my best friends became traitors. After a few weeks, Rhisereld had broken the chain between Cataris and my mind. Shortly afterwards, he brought himself to me. He said it was not over. I cut my sword through his dark robes as I told him otherwise. Suddenly, I was left with a curse.

Cataris was the most clever Undead I had ever faced. He knew not only how to destroy with force, but with intelligence... with trickery. He knew how to damage lives and leave relationships in ruins.

I like to call it the "Cataris Curse". It was a literal tug-of-war between The curse and my mind, over my body and mind. Though over the years I have been practicing in immunity to undead taint, this was nothing like I had ever felt before. I felt I could not do evil directly, and I fought against it...

But I did things to a little halfling girl, that will forever scar both of us. Including Rhisereld's and my marriage. Everything went into chaos. The Whispering Order was falling apart because of actions I could simply not control. Not until I found the cure for it, the physical and emotional touch of Rhisereld, did the curse leave my body and fled to another's, Barry Johnson of the Whispering Order.

Thinking they were my last words, I bid Rhisereld farewell. Shortly after, I confronted, and fought Cataris on the rooftop of the Hollow Peach Inn. I thought my time neared it's end, but I was mistaken. Annora spared her life for everyone's in the Order. I miss Annora very much. If she wanted anything, it was for the madness to end. Well, it did. Everything became peaceful when Cataris died.

Dear Cataris, I won't miss you any more than I miss Natheus, Crowe, or Ar'kelos. You were the most clever of them all. The Whispering Order General bids you well done and a farewell.

  3. "But you... you stood in front of me, a brave woman, wielding the very sword I used to kill myself. You defended me from the wrath of the Whispering Order, those that I hurt, and myself..."

Suddenly, Alethion's face repeatedly jerks it's way back to it's normal, undamaged state.

"And you're the cure for this curse."

  4. ((WARNING: screenshots contain rather in-character offensive language.))

Deep beneath the Whispering Isles, Alethion and Rhisereld sit within a quiet sanctum, Menel Nen Arda. Regardless of Alethion's terribly disfigured face, Rhisereld hold's his hand with a tight grip.

"I don't know how he did it. He's not like the other Undead. He's strong, clever, and he's ruining my life. Not just mine... Persephone will never be the same again..."

"Though it was not my true intention, I tried to take advantage of Persephone. It was as if I was watching myself from a perspective I could not control..."

    IpWsS.png

"...It was a tug-of-war between the curse and I. A tug-of-war over my brain, my body, and my actions..."

    X0Suw.png

Alethion continues to speak, "I could not live with myself knowing I had done such wrong to you. I tried to take my life and end the madness."

    UwNsy.png

"Then I said goodbye. Not because it was the easy way to escape. I felt I was penetrating the enemy. When the whole time, I was doing exactly what he wanted me to do..."

    04Zni.png

"But I saw past the curse and into your tear-filled eyes. Oh how could I have fallen victim to such a clever tactic of his? He wanted me to finish the suicide. But you were the one that got in the way."

    ONaHZ.png

"I gave her my trust as a friend, Cataris threw it away. I took her to Alethion's Hold and kept her there for weeks... The curse took over my body, I resisted enjoying it as much as I could. I wish I was stronger. Persy, what a brave lass. She deceived the curse, she made it think she enjoyed what it was doing to her. She lead me back to the Isles... And then I was locked up. It's somewhat a shame the walls weren't entirely padded at the time... But perhaps it was the only way to subdue the curse from shouting at Persephone."

    ZxOUe.png

"And every time I look back on it... I can just see Persephone with her tear filed eyes, staring at me through the iron bars of Al'khazar."

"Everything just feels wrong. I just wish I could be stronger..."

  5. I honestly feel there are too many restrictions with this current skill plugin. Realistically, i'd be able to break leaves without using an iron axe. The same goes with dirt and other various blocks.

This restriction may make the game more "realistic", but I do feel like it's ruining the creative role-play that Lord of the Craft is well known for.

I believe the rate of experience should not be so difficult. I think it's important SOME things are limited in various skills, such as mining, farming, cooking, and blacksmithing. That opens up many different kinds of trade.

With 1.0.0, I can see enchanting and brewing introduced as skills as well.

Though I think it's important for trade, I do NOT think LotC should be a grind in any kind of way. That's not what makes it fun. That's what makes it addictive. It doesn't need another addictive factor because it's already SO AWESOME.

By making the skills easier to train, yet still limit us on how many skills we can have, Lord of the Craft can maintain excellent trade and economy. It will all still be very fun. :)

  6. I know Cataris would make an excellent Forum Moderator. I think he would make an awesome GM. He's one of the most fun and most fair to role-play with. He's responsible with his actions and knows when enough is enough.

However, I thoroughly enjoy Role-playing with Cataris and he impacts the game in such an awesome way to be a GM. Just the fact that he is applying to be a Forum Moderator encourages me to support him even more.

As I believe it, Cataris is an undead and now accepts villain applications. He's very well trusted and knows his boundaries with the trusts he's been given.

I've been in the Forum Moderating Community on Runescape for over two years now. I've learned SO much. Back then, I didn't expect the invite to come. But here, I expect it with Cataris. His posts are entertaining, kind, well-thought out, and constructive. These are important attributes I see in many great forum moderators.

Cataris, keep it up man. You'd make an awesome forum moderator!
